Does anyone ever check out the books in the Local Author section? Readers can find almost any genre, not just books about the area but books by authors who live nearby. I admit that section isn’t always easy to find. At Fireside books in Chagrin Falls, OH, you have to go up to the second level and look for the shelf marked “Local Authors” and there you’ll find some good, often overlooked books by people you might actually see in the bookstore. For example, Fireside has all three of my Native American thrillers. War Party, Bula Bridge and Broken Albatross displayed edge on so unless you pick one up, you’ll have no idea what they are about. They can be read as standalones or as a series. Take a look next time you’re in Chagrin Falls.
