I finally finished revisions on chapter 42. It was another struggle, in places so bad I began to wonder who wrote that crap, though I know I did it. In one section I had somehow forgotten that our hero and his friends had captured a castle formerly held by the chief villain and they were now using the keep as their headquarters. Really, how do you forget that the main party is inside a castle? The good news, perhaps, is that I have fixed those errors and other much less significant ones, smoothed out the flow and just might have improved as a writer. If that’s true then the finished novel should be better than it would have been. Readers will be happier, which is really the point. And now there are three chapters to go. I certainly hope that they will be easier to revise. Based on the last two chapters I’m not expecting much.
