More chapters are back from my editor. As always, she made some good suggestions. This time about making the main character’s struggles more captivating. It’s a reminder that characters have to be tested, suffer, face obstacles and pain. But that doesn’t always mean they are in physical danger. They can have emotional and psychological issues as well and sometimes those can be harder to handle than the physical threats. It turns out, as rightly pointed out my editor, Koronus’ issues so far in this book are emotional/psychological and that needs to be emphasized and expanded until the reader can feel his pain. I am working on incorporating that into the rewrites. If I do it well, it will really pull readers into the plot. Now off to work.
Next post here will have more details on Koronus, his problems and the progress on finishing the book.
