The last trilogy I wrote took so long that books came out several years apart. I think by the time the next book hit the market, readers had forgotten all about the series. Now that I’m embarking on another epic fantasy trilogy and I wonder how best to release each novel. At this point, book 1 is done and sent to a potential publisher. Book 2 has a complete draft and is being edited. Book 3 has a complete first draft that I’ve begun revising. So, all three books will be finished sooner rather than later. Should the books be released one a year for three years as so many authors seem to do or released a few months apart? At least the series will be complete, unlike so many other more famous series.
