Already highlighted were the 3 books that make up the trilogy. Now, the bonus short stories, one for each book are included exclusively in the e-book collection which remains on sale until the end of December.
For book 1, “Dalphnia’s Grief” is a compassionate tale about the woodland nymph who eventually marries Gant. She is dealing with the recent death of her previous husband, actually number 5, though that shouldn’t be a surprise given that she is a nymph. She must battle depression, an emotion unknown in nymphs and how she deals with it might surprise you.
“First flight” is the story linked to book 2. In it, Amelia first learns that she can turn into a bird, eagle or owl, and fly wherever she wants. Flying is intoxicating and despite warnings from her grandfather, she can’t help but soar through the skies. But there are dangers with becoming avian too fully, as she learns.
The final story is “A New Sheriff.” How does a dragon become sheriff in a town full of people? Not many villages would welcome a dragon to be anything, much less the sheriff. Zachariius isn’t the usual sort of dragon. He’s retired, as much as dragons are ever retired, and content to live his life in peace. The townspeople, except for the children, ignore him, believing him harmless. But when brigands invade the town, Zach cannot sit by and do nothing.
