What’s happened to me? I didn’t think I could write horror. So why have the last two short stories I’ve written brought the reactions they did? One, sci-fi in my mind, upset the members in my former writer’s group as being too graphically disgusting. It was really a twist on the three rules for Robotics from Asimov and I thought presented in good taste. Evidently NOT. And my most recent short story made my editor sick to her stomach. It is about the afterlife and perhaps one way karma is dispensed. Admittedly, both are pretty dark. Has the dark force taken over my mind? What am I to do?
